Brother, for sure your seat will be on stage as I am sure a lot of commity members (myself included) will love to hear your insight and sharing your knowledge in this space. I mean it
Great initiative, friends! I’m really excited and can’t even imagine myself on stage. Unfortunately, I feel that some guys from my team would handle this much better, as my English isn’t good enough to speak freely on stage. However, I do have good representatives from the team who could adequately present and answer all the questions!
I really, really love the idea of Cloud’s Corner! Everyone here is a real person, with friends, family, wives, daughters etc., with their own story to tell. I would love to learn more about everyone here, and I’m sure others would too.
Some of the best stuff has come out of community just going ahead and doing stuff without getting the go-ahead from the team. For example, @bengshark went and did a health screening at his clinic (see the HealthSOL thread) and @Halfacreated a $CLOUD community bounty without consulting us. I think this is an excellent opportunity to practice community capacity-building:, which I define as the ability for the community to ship stuff separately from the core team (but with one unified goal: grow Sanctum together).
So you guys have our blessing to just do it. I would suggest next steps to create a Discord channel or Telegram group and just run from there and figure out when we can get the inaugural episode up! It doesn’t have to be perfect – this is a learning process for all of us.
This is, in effect, a “proto-WG”, and I want you guys to own it. Obviously Sanctum will have distribution and we can set the broadcast stuff up, but everything else (setting the agenda, inviting guests, writing copy for the call) should be community-led. The ideal is for community to do (almost) everything and core team to just show up every call. In the beginning of course we will of course be super hands-on, but I want the core team’s involvement to taper off as the community’s capacity increases.
I also want to make clear in advance that nobody should expect to get paid for this, especially in this initial stage. This will be a purely volunteer effort. If and when we prove out that this works, we can put a vote to the community to do a grant, but for the present (and indefinite future), we’re just trying stuff out. So please do not participate if your main objective is to earn money.
@fplee
I am speechless, I really appreciate the empowerment and support. I really love the idea of giving us the green light and I will get on this right away sir and ofc keeping you up to date. My goal is to give personal interaction that brings the communinity closer.
