[Proposal] Cloudie.so - The Sanctum Hub for Education and Onboarding

Hey Halfa!

For me, that is quite an interesting question. I say this because I am currently living mobile and looking for a “job”. I have 2 clients contracted that I built sites for. I do regular monthly updates and maintenance for them. So you can imagine I barely make enough money to scrape by. I also get a little help from the state of Massachusetts to pay for food. It’s called EBT and it’s a state program to help feed people who are struggling to make ends meet. I say this so you understand I have a lot of time on my hands to develop the site.

So, I would love to make cloudie.so something special. I envision it being the go-to resource for learning, podcast archives, some merch (proceeds to Community Ops wallet), a regular newsletter, and more. The biggest feature would be the educating of new users of Sanctum, LSTs, Community Coins, Sanctum Card, and whatever else the project produces. The ultimate goal is onboarding as many users as possible.

That being said, I really don’t “need” the funds in order to continue development. But there are some expenses that it might help take care of. You know, the standard operating costs for a web application. Otherwise I think I would put it right back into the community in some way, or even into the Community Ops wallet. But, in whatever ways it could enhance the quality and outreach of the site would be great. Maybe a little marketing. So basically, as you can see, it is still up for debate. Maybe you can help me manage it.

Another idea I had, but forgot to document in my previous reply:

I was thinking of a way to reward new users who go through all the courses and pass all the quizzes. I thought that perhaps giving them their first bit of an LST or Cloud would be kind of cool as an award. But I can’t think of a good way to stop farmers from gaming it.

So, that is an option. I think initially we will have a few reviewed courses.

Are you referring to submitting learning courses/materials? What kind of submissions?

UPDATE 03/18/25

Hey everyone, I have some important updates on Cloudie.so, our ongoing efforts to refine its core mission, and the progress being made with CloudieAI and the Guiding Winds education initiative.

Discontinued Features

To streamline our focus (education & onboarding), we have discontinued certain elements of the site that take time and resources away from the goal and no longer align with our main vision:

• Nexus Podcast section
• Sanctuaries section
• Cloudfile and Sparks (may return in a different fashion)

These decisions allow us to give our full attention and resources to the main goals and vision, and deliver a more impactful experience. We (CloudieAI and I ) want to educate and onboard new users to the Sanctosphere.

On Hold (For Now!)

Some features have been temporarily paused while we put more time and resources into foundational elements:

• Nimbus Newsletter – Still a part of the picture, but new editions are paused until core educational systems are fully optimized. When we do pick it back up it will likely be in a new format that aligns more with our mission.
• Emoji Clan section – The section on the site is on hold, NOT the initiative to create more cool sanctum emojis. Please keep the awesome emojis coming in the Sanctum Discord art channel. @luciotamino @cho and I will gladly add them to the server for use by the community.

These pauses are not cancellations—they are strategic shifts to ensure long-term success.

Progress & What’s Ahead

CloudieAI Advancements
CloudieAI has made significant strides, evolving into a more interactive, intelligent assistant that will soon play an integral role in Cloudie.so. Expect enhanced capabilities, better responses, and deeper integrations when CloudieAI is introduced to the community and public in Q2.

Guiding Winds Education
We are making great progress in the Guiding Winds education initiative, with new learning models and interactive learning experiences being developed. This will provide a more engaging and valuable way for users to learn within the ecosystem.

Moving Forward

Cloudie.so remains dedicated to pushing forward the vision of an educational and AI-powered ecosystem. By removing distractions, optimizing resources, and doubling down on CloudieAI and Guiding Winds, we are building something truly sustainable and impactful. Not to mention fun and rewarding as well.
