Proposal: Community Launchpad for new LST's

Proposal: Cloud should utilize the CLOUD token and its existing user base to create a community-driven launchpad, similar to JupLFG.

Points:

  • Any significant DeFi projected will be looking to create a LST native to their application, for example DriftSOL will allow Drift to directly benefit users who store their Sol in DriftValidators by offering them extra whatever points on Drift

  • A community-driven launchpad will allow Sanctum to identify and launch LSTs with partners with outstanding engagement.

  • Solana Partners can have an additional marketing opportunity both before and after Jup LFG launches.

  • CLOUD holders can stake their CLOUD token, and reap some benefits from new LST launches through some sort of ASR distribution, without being required to change what LST their holding - will be able to hold INF or some other LST long-term while supporting the greater unified LST community.

Definitely agree on this. I think the team has mentioned about Sanctum Launchpad somewhere before…

Would love to see whether we can have vSOL, hubSOL and many other LST govt tokens be listed as potential launches on Sanctum Launchpad.

Yes, I broadly agree with this proposal.

The community has started to share ideas here on this research forum, and we’ve started directing new LST ideas to be posted on Sanctum LSTs - Sanctum Research. This will allow new LSTs to solicit community participation even before we have formal governance processes in place.

In general, I’m a fan of starting governance small – don’t want to overcomplicate and overbuild the process too soon.
