raiSOL - High Yield Solana Staking Powered by Supercharged Nodes

Rakurai

The blockchain landscape is advancing quickly, yet it faces significant hurdles—one of the most critical being the Transaction Per Second (TPS) bottleneck. As we move closer to realizing the potential of Web3, the urgency for scalable and efficient blockchain solutions becomes more apparent. Rakurai’s mission is to solve this problem, starting with Solana.

The Challenge: TPS Limitations

In today’s fast-paced crypto environment, the demands on blockchain networks are immense. While a single centralized exchange (CEX) can process thousands of transactions per second (TPS), Solana—one of the most advanced blockchains—handles fewer than 1,000 true TPS. For decentralized exchanges (DEXs) and DeFi protocols to achieve global scale and demand, the blockchain TPS capacity must increase to meet, and ideally surpass, the performance of centralized systems. Without such improvements, the widespread adoption of Web3 could face significant barriers.

Our Approach to Enhancing TPS

Rakurai supercharged nodes solve the low TPS problem and are built upon three key pillars:

  • High Throughput Transaction Scheduler
  • Pipeline Optimizations
  • Network Processing Optimizations

Through this solution, we offer a 5x boost in TPS which leads to around 30% higher yields for solana stakers, positioning us as a key player in the ongoing evolution of DeFi and blockchain scalability.

The Role of raiSOL in Our Ecosystem

raiSOL, our Liquid Staking Token (LST), plays a significant role in boosting network TPS by contributing to the staking capital available for the Rakurai client. raiSOL holders stand to benefit in several meaningful ways:

  • Higher Yields: Enjoy increased returns, around 30% higher than those from traditional staking solutions. This yield is sustainably boosted by our high TPS nodes.
  • Governance Token Airdrops: Long term raiSOL holders will be eligible for exclusive benefits when Rakurai’s governance token is launched.
  • Transaction Prioritization Revenue Boost: More raiSOL means more staking capital. This enables Rakurai to boost returns through increased transaction prioritization for their customers. The more raiSOL you buy the more it appreciates.

Looking Ahead

As we continue to grow Rakurai, our roadmap includes onboarding liquidity from the CeFi world through initiatives such as Order Entry Management Systems (OEMS) and DEX data streaming. Deeper into the future, we plan to extend Rakurai’s optimizations to other blockchain networks, enhancing their performance, increasing our market share and supporting the broader blockchain ecosystem.

Join us on this journey to help shape a more scalable and efficient future for blockchain.

Gm and thank you for the pitch @saadkhan!

I’d like to ask you a few questions out of curiosity:

  1. How do you measure or prove that your “supercharged nodes” deliver a “5x boost in TPS”?
  2. Regarding the yield for stakers, you mention a “30% higher yield than traditional staking solutions.” However, your website shows an average APY of 7.44% over the last 30 days, while many LSTs I know of offer a higher yield (see Starke Validator’s LST Performance). Am I missing something here?
  3. Lastly, from a “staker acquisition strategy” standpoint, why not—at least temporarily—lower your fees (MEV, block rewards, etc.) to incentivize more stakers to allocate capital and grow your stake? Competition is fierce, so I’d be asking, “Why should I choose $raiSOL over any other LST?”

Thank you for your time!

Hey @Tuuxx,
Thanks for your thoughtful questions. Let me clarify and provide more details:

  1. Our supercharged node will be available on MNB when SIMD#83 rolls out. In collaboration with Anza, we have pushed all the PRs to the agave client and this is expected to be launched in v2.1. The 5x boost in TPS has been tested on testnet and localnet.
  2. We are currently running a standard agave client. As SIMD#83 is yet to be rolled out on MNB. After that you’ll see the increased APY.
  3. We only charge a deposit fee of 0.1%. This is typically used to avoid the stakepool being abused from cyclic stake/unstake. We are currently working on different strategies to attract more stake. Competition is fierce but after the launch of our supernode, due to the higher APY and sharing of block rewards, raiSOL will appreciate more in comparison with other LSTs.

Gm @saadkhan, and thank you for your prompt and detailed feedback!

Could you please let us know as soon as SIMD#83 goes live? I’d love to allocate some SOL to support your innovative nodes.

Regarding the stakers’ rewards, I was mainly referring to MEV and block rewards sharing, which currently seem higher with many other LSTs. If your node outperforms others, this shouldn’t be a concern anymore, indeed!

Sure I’ll let you know when SIMD#83 goes live.

By the way if you are planning on attending the upcoming Solana Breakpoint event, let’s meet up and chat more about this. We will be presenting at the Colosseum Hackathon Arena on 20th September at 11:00 AM SGT.
