ValiDex: A wiki of validator LSTs

I think we create a wiki of all the validator LSTs and get the community to help build it out.

I propose we incentive people to create entries for each validator and have a process where the validators themselves get the final say on which entry they’d like added to the wiki for their LST, and the selected author will get a reward.

There’s a lot of people in crypto looking to earn rewards for writing about crypto, a glance at the submissions to SuperTeam bounties makes that clear.

This is a way to harness that energy towards a long lived piece of Sanctum documentation AND a reason to reach out and engage with a number of validators who may or may not realise they now have a Sanctum LST.

cool idea - can see this bringing in creative minds - but also scared they’d wanna do it for some cloud to just then jeet - I’m sure some will be Sanctum aligned after, but I do wonder how much of the bounties just end up getting sold off to move onto the next thing

Also, I have no clue if increasing TVL for other LSTs is great for Sanctum/Cloud vs focusing on just increasing the TVL of INF

why not both?
I mean plenty of times you’ll hear people make the argument that “SOL-USDC is the most traded pair, why don’t DEXs just focus on that and leave out all this long tail stuff?!”

But of course the volume on chain is all driven by the long tail. The main pairs get traded because people are coming for the million and one different interesting things they can do on chain that isn’t simply the biggest volume but
they also need to trade USDC-SOL at the same time to do it.

It’s why perps DEXs that think all they need to do is offer the most traded pairs (“cause that’s where the volume is!”) end up seeing such steep drop offs after their TGEs but perps DEXs like dYdX, Drift and Hyperliquid, who all are pushing hard to list more and more long tail assets, have seen volumes sustain well past TGEs: People come for the interesting new stuff AND they’ll stay and trade some of the main pairs too.

I feel the same way about INF and the long tail of LSTs. INF is pretty dull compared to 100’s of wild and wonderful LSTs but there’s not a good way to get the info about those LSTs cause DEX Screener, Birdseye and others aren’t set up to provide the particular info LSTs really need.
I feel you can attract a wide range of people via easy to search resources for finding LSTs AND while people are there they’ll likely also stake some SOL in INF cause it’s a really good counter balance to some of your long tail LSTs because of the way it’s set up.
Of course it should have a prominent place at the top of any wiki (maybe we could trial an ad banner which could then be sold to LST providers or given as reward for performance metrics).

I like this idea. I do think it should be on the sanctum domain though (validator.sanctum.so).
