I am in favour of this, go ahead team
I think this is a great idea. The bigger the incentive the better. As a Kamino user im always looking for pools with extra incentives. In fact I might invest in this myself.
Holding SOL instead of an LST like INF means you are being inflated away. The incentives help to balance things out. I would say that engaging in a discussion with the Kamino team on what is needed for INF to be available for Multiply should be the next priority if the incentives for INF-SOL pushes through.
Also for reference Jito has incentives (JTO) for pools in Kamino.
as a cloud diamond hand, I dislike the idea of this proposal ! nein nein !
I like the idea of ââaccessing other possibilities in the market, especially with partners like Kamino. However, I am concerned about bringing more Cloud tokens to the market without first strengthening the token.
I think it is important for the token to mature so that people are interested in the token.
I know that the team is working in this direction and perhaps this is one of the necessary movements for this.
I support this idea! I benefited from the incentivized CLOUD-INF pool on Kamino, and a SOL-INF pool would be just as interesting, but with less volatility. It will bring more attention to INF, Sanctum, and CLOUD, making it a win-win in my opinion. A YES vote from me!
yes. It is an interesting proposal
Thank you. Based on my understanding, the principal is a combination of INF-SOL, and the APY comes from the fees, which are also a mix of INF-SOL, along with the Cloud emissions allocated to the vault.
Therefore, changes in the $ price INF/SOL doesnât create any effect on APY. And the ratio between the prices of CLOUD and SOL determines how much CLOUD is allocated during each period to meet the target APY.
In other words, even though it might seem like everything is priced in dollars, itâs actually still denominated in SOL. At least itâs how I understand it.
Without bring cloud into cex as promised, we donât have the exposure a cex would offer. So, I feel that incentivizing INF-SOL LP pairs would be helpful. Using CLOUD would create sell pressure, however, the exposure that would bring the other community into the project would outweigh the benefits.
I would also feel that we should increase exposure by partnering with other projects and joining different conversations in solana as a project. This is the time for growth!
Iâve read through the 47 or so replies before mine. Lots of good information and opinions in this discussion!
âIf INF is to become the liquidity nexus of solana for all LSTs, it will require a deep pool of SOL native liquidityâ - quoted off Alkineâs proposal post
This would be the main reason why weâre talking about INF/SOL and not INF/X pairing?
The team believes that the 2.5M cloud (coming from the community reserve) incentive should last at least 6 months.
My only fear with providing incentives is that it attracts mercenaries who look for the highest APY pairings to LP - to collect the incentives to most likely sell, before moving onto the next thing.
But is the emission of 2.5M CLOUD over at least 6 months a big problem? (I donât knowâŚ)
LPers could also be members of the CLOUD community who may want to get more cloud to hold and stake, so not all participants would be mercsâŚ
Other questions that come to my mind are if/when there is a wonderland S2, could S2 be done in a way that promotes LPing INF/SOL and potentially other INF/X pairings? When potentiall is S2?
Also read someone say that CLOUD should be made a more desirable asset to hold. Aside from governance and ASR, how else could CLOUD become more desirable to hold?
The last fwew questions are outside of this proposalâŚbut just some thoughts that came to mind when I was reading through the discussion lol
Ultimately, if INF does well, Sanctum does well, and hopefully that all translates to CLOUD doing well.
2.5M of the communityâs 300M (0.833%) doesnât look like an absurd number, so I think it is worth a shot.
Will this incentive be enough to attract more liquidity providers?
If so, how much ?
Or what will be a number that would be considered a success ?

Writing has a diehard kamino defi user (and cloud holder). Personally I love incentives on kamino LP vaults, but there is a catch. I will almost always rotate my liquidity when the incentives expire. Now thereâs an argument to be made that a certain amount of liquidity providers stay in their position but I am never one of them. My gut reaction is this incentive will boost liquidity, but only until the incentive dries up. This makes it a short term solution and not a long term one. Maybe the boost will generate sufficient activity to last longer but I am not confident this is the case. Curious to hear more about the plans, if any, after the incentive dries up as that is my primary concern. I would all be for a short term incentive coupled within a longer term plan for liquidity provision.
Doesnât this incentive risk creating a selling pressure on CLOUD for at least the duration of the incentive period, since 2.5M CLOUD will be distributed purely as rewards and likely sold by LPs? If there isnât enough buying pressure to counterbalance this, wouldnât this mechanically lower the price of CLOUD and potentially bias future proposals?
If INF needs support, it makes strategic sense to back it since itâs a core part of Sanctumâs ecosystem.
The purpose is to make all SOL staked and liquid + if you needed an utility of $Cloud token, it is one of them!
Hello Dear Clouds !
Concerning this proposal, I believe this presents a great opportunity to strengthen INF-SOL liquidity and solidify INFâs role as a key Solana-native asset.
By leveraging Kaminoâs proven vault strategies, it ensures that liquidity is actively managed and efficiently deployed, addressing one of the biggest hurdles for large INF depositorsâshallow exit liquidity.
The structured incentives, starting at 20% APY before stabilizing at 15%, are competitive and should attract the necessary liquidity to establish deeper pools. However, there are potential risks to consider, such as the long-term sustainability of CLOUD incentives and the impact of potential sell pressure on CLOUDâs price. Additionally, reliance on Kaminoâs liquidity management introduces some external dependency. While these are valid concerns, the strategic importance of deepening INF-SOL liquidity outweighs the risks, making this proposal a strong step forward for Sanctumâs ecosystem.
Sincerely,
B_B
Makes sense to me, in my opinion long overdue (almost 6 months so!), but 2.5M amount of $CLOUD could be an issue (rather large).
INF is indeed the standard LST to be held, and itâs indeed the crux of the entire eco, but as @Riceracc00n mentioned, how do we safeguard ourselves, the token holders, with this proposal
I agree that there should be incentives, as a token of appreciation for the LPs and a nudge and reminder that Sanctum exists and $CLOUD exists, but if people pool en masse and just dedicate themselves to farming it, how is this different from a pool1/pool2 defi food farm situation?
Again, without a good reason for those who are getting the $CLOUD from farming the INF-SOL pool to use it and hold onto it, as opposed to dumping it ad infinitum, so that their 11% or whatever number yield ends up being 14, whatâs the point?
Ultimately, in conjuction with further utility mechanisms for $CLOUD that will make those receiving the rewards think twice about twapping it out every week, it seems basically subisidising mercanaries in the short-term, for their liquidity, again in the short-term.
after some thought, it occurred to me my idle stack of hsol could be helping the cloud fam by putting it into inf-sol pool (regardless of incentives)
gonna do that did that (such that tvl increased by about 1% ), and as a result, cloud-003 will be a yes for me
(still hope to see inf in multiply, though
)
Hey nucky! All governance proposals will come from community treasury allocation, unless stated otherwise
I love it great idea , INF deserves to be in the front
