Create a weekly betting game

I’d love to start a game. A pound/dollar in each week and predicting sports scores. Kind of like the football pools. I’d love to do it onchain. How would you use LST’s to do it?

I’m in the process of building that, along with many other sports betting and spoken language 1v1 prediction markets on Cosmos. Everything will be OS in the end and could be made for Solana also. DegenSend.com

my initial thought, is there are already betting platforms out there already

but truth be told non of the web3 platforms come close to traditional web2 bookmakers for both depth of markets and scale of options

(theres probably over 100 different bets i could place on a single football :soccer: (soccer) game with a online bookmaker, the web3 versions only usually offer a handful at best)

Plus over here betting winnings are tax free, so personally even as a gambler for those reasons its not something that appeals (not sure on whether the same applies to crypto winnings in the same manner)

But what i would say is a raffle system, based around a LST or creator coin using the yield as entry/proze could be something that a project or creator could build upon

With my 1v1 natural language betting the number of bets is only limited by your imagination. If you want to bet that a player takes their first step onto the pitch with their left foot then it’s available, you just need someone willing to bet against you that thinks it’ll be their right foot.
The difference is that with traditional betting you’re betting against the house and with mine you’re betting against other people 1v1 and eventually 1v? with partial takes.

The raffle system is also like the other games I created, you choose your numbers and the winners are based on the game results or with racing you buy tickets but the drivers are handed out randomly by VRF.

In my proposal on here I also promoted a nft raffle system paid for with $CLOUD where vetted NFT projects ca donate NFTs or WL in exchange for the promotional aspect and all $CLOUD collected is burned.

if your developing a platform cool, i would say theres a few platforms already to complete both in web2 and web3

my personal take is web2 has the sporting betting market sown up, ease of access, no fees, no tax on winnings, multiple bets per event and and and . . ., its going to be a hard sell which to get anyone to change to using web3 betting sites, these reasons are partly why i think web3 platforms struggle, as a regular placer of bets (probably daily lol) I wouldn’t use any of the existing platforms in web3 so i would suggest finding a niche area of focus, and concentrate on making that as successful/accessable as possible

I’m not competing with Web2, my main selling feature is that 50% of all profits automatically go to the burn wallet, 25% are staked DAO assets, 24% are held in RWA, and 1% pays for gas to make it a gas free experience. Staking rewards are distributed to DAO members that vote.

You know that even if you lose a bet on our platform that you’re still winning b/c supply is being reduced and sell pressure is reduced with the staking. There’s no way to compete with Web2 gambling because there aren’t enough people in Web3 and people like you will always find an excuse not to use crypto platforms because the majority of people here aren’t here as believers of the technology, you’re here strictly as an investment vehicle. Until people value privacy, immutable transactions, and everything else blockchain tech offers they will continue being the product of web2 companies, being tracked by every government and private company, and be at the mercy of government permission.

We’re focusing on people unlike you and those that also want to see their bag value increase even when they lose a bet.
