Marketing campaign: Sanctum + Farcaster

This is one of a series of posts about small marketing campaign ideas. Looking to get some feedback to refine and see if it's able to get to a proposal stage.
The idea is to have some more regular voting, on stuff that is easy to judge with price up or down, so that we can see more voting in general.

With the recent launch of Solana wallets on Farcaster there’s a viable Crypto Twitter alternative out there for Solana protocols.
It’s fair to say Farcaster is one of the most innovative social media platforms we’ve ever seen. The sheer number of integrations and features they’ve launched rival the best shipping teams we’ve seen in tech to date.
Farcaster is packed full of builders releasing their experiments and early stage products right into the feed.

As a result Farcaster is, still, an extremely high signal to noise platform.

To date though Farcaster has been very EVM ecosystem focused. The addition of Solana wallets marks a shift away from that as their sole focus.

Sanctum should dedicate some time and resources to setting up a Sanctum account on Farcaster, exploring mini apps and frames integrations, and generally growing the account as a viable X alternative.
And when I say “dedicate” I mean probably hire someone to run this or at least hire a consultant to do the initial set up and growth. Setting up and running a channel on Farcaster is non-trivial process but gives you a lot of visibility.

With the addition of Solana wallets Sanctum can give out CLOUD rewards to people engaging with Sanctum very easily and random rewards will drive more engagement.

What’s the process of setting up and running a channel on Farcaster? Why is it nontrivial?

Farcaster made a change a while back to clean it up and raise the bar in terms of who can make channels and some conditions around liveness.
It’s a bit complex to get into here but you can search for discussions about it on Farcaster (and probably X).
Suffice to say you’d need someone who is prepared to commit some amount of their time to doing it. Not heaps but it’s not like setting up an X community (which is about as hard as writing a forum post on Discourse)
