[New LST Reward Proposal]: Sanctum Referral Plan (SRP)

Referral Marketing Plan:

As Sanctum is new and potential cases grow, one of the biggest future stumbling blocks will be marketing. Right now, a lot of projects are requesting for LSTs but what will happen in the 3-6 month span or next few years?

What I suggest is a Sanctum Referral Plan (SRP) that rewards good earnest members that help get the word out when the opportunity arises. Say you are part of a twitter, telegram or discord group and someone/team joins that wants to know how best to build and expand their project. One thing you can suggest is for them to connect with projects like Sanctum to set up an LST to market their project and provide utility for their stakers. This would create a win/win in the new good project getting utility and marketing as they look to grow and the new LSTs will benefit the Sanctum ecosystem.

The reward could be from the community war-chest and reward members that get the word out:
1.) If the connection is successful or
2.) If they provide 3-5x of connection even if they fail as a “thank you for marketing Sanctum for us”.

Let me know what you guys think? Or add to this concept!

I think this will be useful with a Social layer like the Profiles to add to this. Though I believe this could be an extension of a core working group within Sanctum.

  1. if connection is useful, was it impactful enough (i.e. in your example, a new LST that accrues attention or meaningful TVL add to Sanctum Pool)
  2. Even if the referral of a project fails, at least it’s something to note or could get a badge from for profiles that have been earnest and tried their best.

Gm @NYSoul

I believe this shouldn’t be a complicated process but rather left to the team’s discretion, similar to how Earnestness was handled for Wonderland S1.

I’m confident they’d reward anyone who brings them an opportunity like CoinbaseSOL, for instance.

Whether handle by team discretion or a referral system, I think referral rewards are a positive thing.

Yeah, never hurts to reward good members that add to the project’s growth!
