Hello fellow Sanctum-nites and to all members of the Solana and crypto community , I’m Cory Tam , CPO of Flojo (drinkflojo.com) , world’s first sparkling beverage formulated and approved by neuroscientists, building the next-gen loyalty programme focused on gamification and token rewards through a wallet abstraction layer, built on Solana’s Octane relayer. On behalf of the Flojo team , I would like to share more about us and our proposal for Sanctum LST.

By combining neuroscience (fundamentally a cutting-edge, tasty beverage) and blockchain, we aim to disrupt both the coffee/energy drinks categories with a novel way to engage D2C consumers - by distributing value on-chain. (Interesting point to note the market-cap of some Air Mile Programs are larger than the market cap of the the airlines themselves.)
Vision
Flojo’s vision is focused on the mass market but we are innovating by using the crypto community as one of many channels to gain attention and distribution. We are also fully utilizing the benefits of Web 3.0 as part of its growth strategy and reward its consumers and supporters by channeling revenue back to them through airdrops and buybacks through $CAN.
Our Journey
Flojo is gaining momentum in the beverage industry (look out for alpha in our official channels). Currently Flojo is in partnership with Better Food Distributor in Singapore, boasting a lineup including Remedy Kombucha, one of the world’s most popular Kombucha brands, which has an estimated annual revenue of over $200-300 million globally as well as Dash - another fast growing new-age beverage; Sparkling Water infused with Wonky Fruit. Polybrands HK will also start distributing in Hong Kong in Q4.
Co-founder and CEO Paul Tan previously worked on a DTC brand NOON www.noonlife.co. He noticed that instead of spending millions of dollars on marketing and advertising which typically has poor conversation rates , a new entrant into the beverage industry needed to truly innovate both on the product and on the marketing fronts. Just like how Prime leveraged celebrity marketing on Youtube, Olipop used guerilla micro influencers on Tiktok, Athletic Greens - health experts on podcasts.
Hence, with Flojo , the strategy is to create an innovative way to attract, engage and retain consumers through an ethos of value share and as a result have way better conversion in ‘marketing’ spend because of the potential to attract viral attention.

The team consists of Paul - co-founder of NOON, Zipmex, Bank of America investment banker who has a strong passion for wellness, Cherie Lui - PR/ Marketing Ogilvy, AmerisourceBergen, Dr Christine Wong - BenchSci, PHD Neuroscientist, Wai Chung - Temasek Blockchain, Cory Tam - Ex VMware , Entrepreneur First Alumni. Strategic advisory board consists of Sam Ryo - ex-chief Food Scientist at Voyage Foods/ Endless West ; Rex Macaskill - ex CEO of Pokka SG.
Our proposal
1) $Flojo SOL

We propose $FlojoSOL in which the LST yield can be directly used to purchase real-world products - primarily our drinks / merch and also eventually services by related external service providers we will work with.

This benefits users as it reduces friction by eliminating the need for off-ramping and allowing users to directly pay for goods and services.
How it works

All yield is pledged to the project (e.g Flojo) and the yield is liquidated into USDC ( or any other stablecoin) every epoch.

Users would see an equivalent USDC credit available to claim products and services with the project.

Essentially, we see this as a way for users to pre-order products with yield earned in credit. In our case, we would call the accumulated yield credit “$F”

This benefits projects as they would not need to onboard payment service providers which would charge transaction fees on purchases , allowing brands and projects to offer the best pricing possible.
Redemption of real-world products

Once users have enough “$F” , they can select the products or merchandise they would like to purchase from us and they would receive a 100% discount code to redeem the products by checking out on our online store.

Over time. we hope to work closely with the Sanctum team to improve the user experience of making purchasing real-world goods like ours much simpler be it through a widget or a one-click purchase solution and other features like auto-subscription.
*In terms of Geo-fencing due to high shipping costs of drinks - we intend to pilot with a few countries from the get-go. (Having said that, any Merch would be available world-wide)
2) Real world product/service Auto-subscription feature for FlojoSOL / xSOL

We also propose a subscription style option for $FlojoSOL and other similar xSOL projects where users can subscribe to purchasing products and services.

To simplify the user experience, when users subscribe to a product and accumulate enough yield , a order is automatically generated and will be fulfilled by the merchant/project.

Having this feature, users can be presented with an estimate of how much $FlojoSOL or xSOL to hold to have a regular delivery of a product (e.g monthly subscription).

This subscription feature also benefits projects like us as it helps us to predict demand and better cater to our customers needs.
3) ”Buy Now, Unstake Later”

Additionally , we also propose a unique feature called “Buy now, Unstake Later”. It is an interesting concept that we would like to share with the Sanctum team and community. This is a feature that we or other projects may consider but it does involve some currency risk as it essentially involves crypto-backed lending.

This feature essentially allows users to lock up $FlojoSOL/ xSOL in order to received a product or service immediately, where the project assumes the locked up xSOL will generate yield in a acceptable amount of time (e.g within 3 months, 6 months, 1 year) and with a grace period to account for fluctuation in yield.

Contingencies can be built for both the user and project/merchant where users can pay off the “loan” or the locked assets can be partially liquidated to fulfil the remaining cost/yield not yet earned within X amount of time when there is a bigger than expected fluctuation in yield.
4) Region-based pre-ordering / batching orders

As we are planning to expand our Direct-To-Consumer (DTC) strategy to better serve our customers, allowing us to predict the demand from a certain region in order to steer our global expansion strategy would be useful.

We want to bring our amazing product to consumers all over the world but that will take time. Having the community show us their love by filling up a leaderboard of pre-orders from regions we are thinking of expanding into will not only help us but our supporters and consumers.

We believe such a feature would be useful for other similar projects or merchants, it will allow better demand prediction and even grouping/batching orders.
Summary
Flojo is growing rapidly and making huge waves in the beverage and crypto industry.
We plan to work with Sanctum and create an LST launch , allowing $FlojoSOL holders to enjoy our drinks while participating in our initial $CAN airdrop through the LST.
This is in addition to the $CAN rewards that will be eventually distributed to purchasers of Flojo be it through our storefront or just by holding $FlojoSOL and accruing $F.
We also plan more community activities for our supporters and build our brand with our consumers and so look out for more news in our official channels.
