Onboard newbies to lst proposal

So I just onboard 2 friend into self custody and LST, and realized there are a wide knowledge gap in this leap from pure CEX user to Self Custody users like us.

They are not 100% normies, but they are SOL believer and holder, mainly use CEX to buy and stake SOL with 2% APY

After I research there are around 200 Million people and 31.2 Million SOL only in Binance.

Imagine if we can educate them easily with non technical jargon and fun design, I believe it can help us to grow SOL ecosystem with new self custody users.

We only need to convert 1% of the users to Sanctum and it can give us 2 M new users. With simple message : Hey there is better way to stake your SOL with 500% more APY, its safe and fun with sanctum pets!

I make initial intro like this :

Still lack of how to open sanctum and jup, because I tell them via phone and live demo.

Please pardon my poor writing ;(
But only this can onboard 2 people, imagine if we can develop this together into a proper website with animation and faq then directing them to hold sanctum LST.

I think to develop this, we need :

Designer

Web dev

Copywriter

Hustler → to iterate draft to newbies, to validate if its easy enough to understand

Marketer → to give updates on CEX posts and make values

This is something great and useful to help people come into the LST wolrd. I believe one of the main reasons they don’t partake it is lack of knowledgeable, and simply confused with the technical jargon. However, i must say, it is imperative to add sections to Wallet Security (understanding seed phrase, public address, etc.), Discord servers (to learn in depth about the protocols witj the community) understanding protocols, and smart contracts.

These are just few things that comes to mind.

Such great concepts here Beng. It really is amazing to try and understand the size of the untapped user base. With a website like you are proposing, this will break down stigma’s about joining crypto. It will be clear to them what we already know…that utilizing LST’s is a powerful financial tool. It’s also super fun as we know.

this I’m ashamed to admit it took me years to venture beyond CEXs. I thought CEXs were safer than the blockchain. I know now I was wrong, and missed out

People need to know on chain is a better place
(It’s equally important they know what protocols they should get involved with, and Sanctum should be at the top of the list)

education is going to massive part of growing the sanctum ecosystem into a phenomenon changing the face of solana and solana defi

I would suggest a educational working group to over see some smaller groups that work on materials such as inboarding, defi integrations, general good practices et al

That’s right, having an educational working group would help many people who have never heard of decentralized exchanges. and this will be useful to attract many new people to enter and provide better staking apy than on centralized exchanges

Maybe we can provide guidance in various languages, for example Indonesian, Mandarin, Hindi too. it would be better so it could attract many people from various circles and countries, especially countries with large populations

So this one should be the classic us who saw the outside vs. them still inside the cave. Whatever we tell them about the outside won’t make much sense to them coz they can only think in terms of shadows.

I think we need to find a way of tapping into the 200M cohort and understand what will make them wanna move and what it is that’s making them complacent.

It will eventually come down to inner motivation that will make them wanna abandon their comfort zone.

In any case, I’d be super happy to just jump on a call and brainstorm ideas. Let me know if you’d be up for it

My man Beng is banging. And yes we need mass adoption to the LST world. Native staking is not feasible and they have so much time limitation. We need to have education work group working on DC and maybe doing bi-weekly twitter spaces. and also need some entry-level documents. great work bengie.
