[Proposal] Roles on discord and colorful Badges

Hi (sanc)tumies :thought_balloon:,

I like to hang around and enjoy the game of collecting Roles :person_raising_hand: and Badges :name_badge: and watch some colorful :rainbow: pseudos on discord in general.

I was thinking maybe sanctum :cloud: could implement some as well based on different criteria,
by either typing some command like /cloud each day and make the size of our cloud big and bigger and at some point, we could buy roles to get some type of CLOUD next to our names :cloud_with_lightning: :cloud_with_rain: :cloud_with_snow: , or like COLORFUL NAMES or even the obtention of some NFT made by sanctum.

Could be based on the activity on the discord in the different channels too (no spamming, like the karma system on Mitosis perhaps?).

Just pure cute designs to have more sanctum vibes on the discord ! :sun_behind_small_cloud:

This sounds like a fun idea to retain community engagement and the feeling of achievement. The Pathfinders server is doing this pretty effectively and I do enjoy it very much. Tea and Mochi!

Nice proposition, @JaunePomme! I also think Discord roles are a lot of fun, and it would be great to see more of them in Sanctumā€™s Discord! The system reflects your actual participation - if you have a badge, it means you truly earned it and value it. It makes it easier to recognize whoā€™s who, not because of hierarchy, but because each person has different interests and contributions. For instance, I love art, so I might aim for an artist badge. It would definitely add to the fun and engagement over there!

If you mix in NFTs based on certain achievements, this could take things to the next level. People would be competing for those rare roles and badges, adding a whole new dynamic to the chat. Pure vibes for the Discord, and itā€™s exactly the kind of thing that would keep people sticking around. :sun_behind_large_cloud::eyes:

I mean, NFT or not, just something to make the discord interaction more pure and genuine, not just people spamming in order to desperately get some roles and cash out of it. :person_cartwheeling:

I just want Sanctum :cloud: to be the chill place on SOLANA chain and making it colorful/playful would be one way to do it I think !

Yeah or this, but so far, from what Iā€™ve seen on discord, there is not many ā€œbadges/rolesā€ there. I remember seeing minicloud, cloud, og cloudmaster, server booster, lst something but thatā€™s it

Not fun enough and worthy to be farmed. Sanctum is a friendly place, the visual is a huge part of the protocol and the community. The logo is literally a cloud, we see a lot of skies and pets, itā€™s clearly oriented to be green/comfy/cutie stylie ecosystem :cloud:

I think having like REAL badges on discord (most of the people is there and not on the research forumā€¦) and having proper titles, friendly ones, would have a good impact on the image of Sanctum Iā€™m sure.

In comparison you can see many discord server where the roles are a bitā€¦harsh, doesnā€™t look good and just there to milk the users. Sanctum could strike strong with this, at least for the beginner-friendly community :sun_behind_small_cloud:
