Cloudspotting - the Sanctum Spectrum

Heya Cloudspotters!

To celebrate the end of the Sanctum year and prepare for the conclusion of $CLOUD vesting (Alpha Vault and Earnestness), I’m excited to launch a new art project for us to enjoy and loosen up!

The Sanctum Community art initiative, which started as my NFT proposal and The Cloudie Emoji Clan, now has a proper name: “Sanctum Spectrum”, a tribute to the wide range of creativity and ideas Sanctum embraces! This activity will also be part of it! Big thanks to @n8tr0n for coming up with the new name!

Here’s the plan: let’s create a physical art piece to really “touch some art”, hehe. The theme? Clouds, of course! Your work can be inspired by real clouds, the Cloud token, the Cloudie symbol, character, anything cloud-related. Use any medium you like - drawing, painting, or whatever sparks your creativity. It can be fun, serious, colorful, b&w, more abstract, or anything in between - your choice!

I’d love for you to:

1. Take a picture of your art piece in context to showcase it as a real physical creation.
2. Take a high-quality image of the artwork alone (scanning is ideal) so I can explore the possibility of turning these into Sanctum NFTs - whether individually or as part of a collage, like we did last time!

I’m setting up an initial 500 $CLOUD reward pool, which will be split among all the participants!

If anyone is feeling earnest, I’m accepting donations of course, just like we did for the Cloudie Clan initiative. Community support was crucial in making that project as amazing as it turned out to be, and it would mean a lot to have your help again to make this awesome as well! I wanted to share a painting I created 10 years ago, inspired by studies I was doing about clouds at the time. I had read a book about them and later witnessed the most amazing cumulonimbus formation where I lived, which led me to create this big painting!

Here is my application for the contest. I’m on a budget ? How dare you !
I’m a bit sick (got a cold) cuz it’s really cold around here, so I decided to use the tissues to make a cloud and each tissue would represent as well a cloud: clouds shaping a cloud, hehe
A little post-it, blue ofc, with Sanctum, in the center of the cloud. The sun light on purpose, starting to make Sanctum shiny (shine through the Clouds).

It represents at the same time the tough times we are having with CLOUD right now with the bloody market and the ray hope that we have, shedding lights on Sanctum.

I tried to make a funny yet meaningful piece. Hope you laughed a bit at least

Haha that was funny and unexpected indeed! It can also feel strange, depending on how you look at it hehe, but art can often do that. It doesn’t always have to be beautiful or nice. And it is creative and expressive, it does reflect what your moment is like right now, how you are feeling, and you did try to create a positive, hopeful outcome for what you feel as a tough moment. Also, you did overcome your limitations, made it your priority to participate, and had the courage to create something different. It is your art and your expression, and we do value when real people create real things!
