[Proposal] Wonderland NFT Collection

As Season 1 of Wonderland unfolded, I couldn’t help but imagine how amazing it would be to have NFTs of all the pets. The art, concepts, names, and unique characteristics were already there - everything that makes for great NFTs. I envisioned these NFTs being granted simply by owning a particular pet, but also imagined special NFTs that could only be obtained by reaching certain levels or achieving specific milestones.

Owning these pets as NFTs would deepen our sense of ownership over the pets/LSTs. Like with the characters in the quests, these pets would become our loyal companions, safely stored in our wallets alongside our Sanctum LSTs.

With the arrival of Wonderland’s Season 2, I’m sure new pets will be introduced, and the sheer variety of LSTs opens up so many exciting possibilities. As the pets evolve, their corresponding NFTs could evolve as well, becoming dynamic NFTs in a similar fashion to what Pathfinders is doing.

Speaking of which, Pathfinders is an incredible project closely linked to Sanctum in many ways. It’s pioneering the world of LST-NFTs, paving the way for innovative ideas that could be integrated into a potential Sanctum NFT Collection. This could also tie into the concept that @fplee is developing for personal LSTs with fpSOL.

This means Sanctum could become a pioneer in creating an entirely new line of products that offer the benefits of these new developments. Imagine “LST-NFTs | Personal LSTs” tabs on Sanctum’s website! And with the growing number of different LSTs, we may soon need new ways to categorize them as well (e.g., Meme LSTs, Airdrop LSTs, etc.).

Art has the power to create meaning, and as Sanctum’s vision extends beyond simple economics, embracing its ideals and community, this could be beautifully expressed through Non-Fungible Tokens. These NFTs would allow the expression of all these values and emotions through art, communicating in ways words sometimes can’t. The community could be deeply involved in this process, with members contributing their own artwork to the collection. This wouldn’t necessarily be through contests, which can create competition rather than collaboration, but through a more democratic and inclusive approach that we could discuss further.

Lastly, the Wonderland quests could play an integral role in this idea as well. Participants could receive special soulbound quest NFTs that would help them cherish the memory of those events. In the end, these NFTs would align perfectly with the concept of Earnestness, and could even help develop it further.

Thank you for reading

This is a good idea and will be pretty cool to execute. Just for memoir on those events, we get non transferrable nft. will be nice if it can be used on sanctum profile too

I’m also very interested same as @luciotamino in the collection, the evolution of pets and xp, their design, and the overall art of Wonderland and its adventures.

Although I’m not very well spread in Sanctum ecosystem actually, I believe the monthly accumulation effect will help me become more balanced over time.

I’m open to participating in quests if they are in game form, and maybe considering opening a channel on Sanctum or creating an active community on 𝕏 like Meteora did with the Meteora LP Army.

The challenge with projects is that I can’t see myself joining countless discord servers and communities, so I’m focusing my participation directly on Sanctum and its close affiliations.

Ultimately, it would be ideal for me to accumulate trophies along a visual pathway :space_invader:

To sum up, I think it would be great to combine a lot of things, because it’s quite complex: art brings emotions to life for the activity and engagement, it’s often ideal, but its implementation shouldn’t be rushed like s1 :cloud:

Hey Lucio, great idea. As we all know, by now those pets are a symbol of excitement and community quest. I believe having a dynamic approach to evolve these pets as we do quest, reach certain level, or accomplish a certain milestone would be very fulfilling and rewarding to mint that moment into a NFT. Great idea, I would love to see your proposal come to fruition.

for me maybe something more suited to something like driphaus as a creator, as they are a partner already, maybe there is a way we can work with them to make it feasible based on a final wonderland lvl

Just feel a official NFT collection is stepping outside Sanctum’s area of operation and maybe experitise, certainly would be some extra work load to get it done in their potential 1000s

I would suspect that a offical collection may get calls for utlitity and staking afterall we know what peeps are like )

Not a No, per se, just needs to thought about to make it as simple and smooth as possible for both the team and users a like

Would be cool to have something like the pathfinder NFT setup… where the value of each pet is attuned to each one of the LSTs that it represents.

Season 2 could get even more fun than the last!

Really cool feedback and possible integration. Can’t wait for new pets to arise chikun!

I’m glad to hear your thoughts, @nothing. I think you perfectly captured how the Wonderland experience could be immortalized through these trophies we’d carry with us.

I think it would add more value and meaning to the images from Wonderland. Instead of being jpgs saved on a hard drive, these would live on as tokens in a collection, preserving their relevance even as Sanctum’s website evolves.

As we settle into the crypto world, we naturally gravitate towards the spaces that resonate most with us - the people we connect with, the philosophy and ideas that speak to us, and the worlds that invite us in. Sanctum has already created such a world, and none of us are here by chance. We chose it, and in turn, it chose us. :sparkling_heart:

Always good to know you also feel this way JD

Yes, Wonderland’s Season 1 quests hold a special place in my heart. They were incredible to experience, but once Earnestness was introduced, they became something even more meaningful… nostalgic and canonical. I truly cherish the imagery and memories they evoke.

Seeing the LSTs side by side with their artistic counterparts and the imaginative world they come from would create a sense of continuity. Our Solana wallets would no longer just hold assets, but would become treasure chests, alive with the stories and emotions they awaken in us.

Love the concept! Bringing NFTs into Wonderland’s pet system feels like a natural progression and would definitely increase engagement. People already get attached to their virtual pets, and turning that into a collectible NFT adds a deeper level of ownership. Plus, having special NFTs for milestones is a cool way to reward long-term players or high achievers. It’s basically like leveling up IRL, but in crypto! :boom:

Yes Beng, I think soulbound tokens would be perfect, because their value is not tradable. How could you just transfer or sell the NFT to someone else who wasn’t part of the experience and didn’t truly live it?
The only issue I can think of is that we use multiple wallets and can change them over time, or sometimes a wallet can get compromised, etc. So if there was a way for the NFT to embody your username or something similar, allowing you to change wallets but still retain your mark forever, it would be amazing! They would be like Sanctum credentials. Developing a new kind of soulbound system for this could be a great innovation, as we are always pushing the boundaries of technology.

This is sounding more and more like the next ecosystem innovation. Really great discussion here.

Good point, @JohnnyTheClown. The technical complexities can definitely be addressed, and this could be implemented at its own pace, potentially with partnerships if needed. However, I believe Sanctum has the capability to pull this off perfectly! Perhaps they already have something along these lines in the works that we don’t know about yet, hehe.

For anyone unfamiliar with Soulbound Tokens or Non-Transferrable Tokens, I have an article here: Understanding Soulbound Tokens (SBTs): Non-Transferrable Tokens • AirdropBird

Wow, great article, @n8tr0n! It really adds depth to my initial point. Considering how Sanctum designed Wonderland and the concept of Earnestness, it makes a lot of sense to have assets that aren’t solely created for financial gain but instead provide an identity tied to the entire experience and the project itself. As a community, we would greatly benefit from things like a Sanctum ID, a uniquely created avatar, etc, which could be seen as an evolution of the Sanctum Profile idea, that is still at an early stage

Oh, and I wanted to add one more thought about soulbound tokens that I forgot to mention: Considering the name itself, which suggests a deep connection to one’s soul, these tokens are not just non-transferable. They symbolize a profound link to our innermost spirit and beliefs, serving as a reflection of our inner reality. Just as everything we do in life mirrors who we are, our internet activity and crypto endeavors are also a part of this reflection.
On a side note, the other day, everyone who received Sanctum’s Research User Certificate felt a great sense of pride and eagerly shared it with others, almost like a membership card or diploma! This perfectly aligns with what we’re discussing here - the idea that such tokens can embody personal achievement and belonging.

I guess my question is:

Will this wonderland not be purely art based and jsut for the memories?

Or

Serve a purpose in the wonderland quests ect.

I think a cool idea world be “hold wonderland nft to participate in the wonderland riddle / quest” .

Yes, it would certainly have utility purposes as well! We’ve touched on various ways it could benefit users beyond the art. It would all depend on the dynamic it fits into.

A potential use during the airdrop season could be as a points multiplier. However, how the NFT is obtained would be key, and it wouldn’t be as simple as just owning a pet if the benefits are enhanced like that. The pet levels could act as milestones to increase the multipliers, but the pet level system already exists and wouldn’t necessarily require an NFT to work.

@JohnnyTheClown also mentioned staking, but it’s important to remember that all these features would be applied gradually and could become more relevant in future seasons.

Regarding the connection with the quests, I think it could function as a badge or certificate of participation, marking your involvement. However, it shouldn’t be a prerequisite for joining, since the S1 quests were open to everyone, and I believe they should stay that way.
